rose valley falls
This weekend, I photographed Rose Valley Falls deep in the Los Padres National Forest. The forest is located a few miles north of Ojai in Wheeler Gorge. I've written a short article on my experiences. It's hard to believe such a beautiful place exists so close to the city. The roads have been rumored to have been closed, but the part that is closed is just beyond where you turn off to get to the trailhead. This comes as a very highly recommended hike from me.

Learn something new today. Check out Wikipedia.org. This is a website full of knowledge. It is an online encyclopedia. It has a feature that has links to articles relating to items recently in the news. For example, there was recently an earthquake close to Sumatra. You can read up on Sumatra, earthquakes, tsunamis, etc. There is also a random article button that pulls up a (drum roll) RANDOM ARTICLE! It is perfect for trivial pursuit, Ken Jennings wannabes, or filling your loved ones up with completely random and useless knowledge that they will hate you for because they believe their brain has a limited capacity and that useful knowledge will be subsequently squeezed out. (You know who you are, but you should know better)
The thing that distinguishes this encyclopedia from all others is that anyone on the web can edit the content. Thus is the power of wiki. It is also ported to many different languages. This is definitely worth a look.
